The client’s brief was met spot on – changing the shape and layout of the kitchen has created an open plan kitchen and living space with the main feature being a beautiful big island bench, the original window opening was reduced to allow for overhead cabinetry. A custom-made adjoining buffet with an extra integrated fridge has connected the entire living spaces.

The Veejay’s Team commissioned by the client to create a Kitchen that would compliment the older style of the home and also bring more light into the space.

All white cabinetry and a Caesartstone Alpine Mist benchtop has completely transformed the old dark Kitchen, higlighted by the stunning Herringbone tiled splash back.

Mindarie

Kitchen, Bathroom, Ensuite and Laundry

Kitchen – When these Veejay’s clients purchased their retirement home, with ocean views in Mindarie, they fell in love with the kitchen/living space. The main entrance leads from the outdoor pool area directly into the space, so although it was in need of a renovation, it had great potential for a beach Hampton look!

Our focus was to create a kitchen that was light, bright, and airy, but most of all, welcoming. A huge island in the middle of the U-Shaped kitchen was incorporated, with shades of blues and greys on white, to compliment the warm timber floors and seaside surroundings. The kitchen has become the heart of the home, the island bench in particular, as the intended gathering place for children and grandchildren, who often visit for holidays and special occasions. Great attention to functionality was also incorporated, with the selection of corner accessories, pull-outs, and soft close draws in assorted configurations, plus various work stations, so the family can enjoy cooking together.

Bathroom – The brief was simple, a coastal look to suit the area they live in and bring in as much light as possible but also be functional with a nice big bath for the grandkids to soak in, just so fresh and luxurious looking.

As soon as this client came into our showroom and saw these beautiful patchwork Lifestyle tiles so the kitchen had to be designed around them. They really complement her amazing patchwork quilting throughout their home.

This Kitchen is in a Lifestyle Village so it needed to be a lot more user friendly for their age. Pull out drawers, big pull-out pantry and pull out corner drawers were installed – so no more bending down into these cabinets. New Karndean flooring was laid as this has amazing acoustic values for people living below and a very easy care flooring option.
